Kimberly Hoyt, OD

Dr. Kimberly Hoyt is an optometric physician therapeutically certified by the State of Oregon. Her hospital-based residency puts her in the rare company of the fewer than two percent of optometrists nationwide who have completed this additional training. Dr. Hoyt continues to stay involved with the latest innovations in eye care through ongoing participation in clinical research.

Dr. Hoyt’s expertise and extensive experience in the diagnosis, treatment, and postoperative care of medical eye conditions including cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and macular degeneration make her an invaluable part of the Medical Eye Center team. She provides assessment and follow-up care for laser vision correction patients and performs minor surgical procedures such as removal of foreign bodies from the eyes and small protrusions from the lids. Dr. Hoyt also fits contact lenses including bifocals and specialty lenses for keratoconus and astigmatism.

“I really enjoy the time I spend with my patients,” Dr. Hoyt says. “They keep me connected to what truly matters in life.”

Outside of the clinic, Kimberly is passionate about flowers and her garden is filled with the color and fragrance of numerous of bulbs and perennials. When she’s not attending to her beautiful garden, she enjoys ballet, another lifelong interest. Her husband, Michael, also practices at Medical Eye Center. The Hoyts have one son, Nathan.
