Inwardly Turned Eyelid (Entropion)

An entropion is an inwardly turned eyelid, often caused by aging. It causes the eyelashes to rub on the surface of the eye. Other symptoms may include eye or lid pain, foreign body sensation, redness of the eye, itching, tearing and vision loss. With surgery, the eyelid can be turned outward to its normal position. The outlook is usually good if the condition is treated before cornea damage occurs.
