Education, Humanity and Action are three important tenets for Dr. Koenigsman. She started her career as a software engineer. However, her desire to provide medical care led her to reconsider her professional goals. She spent over 10 years in additional school and training to earn her doctorate in medicine, complete internship, residency and fellowship training. She continues to hone new skills and techniques through continuing medical education, workshops and wet labs. This love of learning goes beyond medicine. You may even see her at the local community college taking a language or music class!

Dr. Koenigsman’s interests outside of work are diverse. She plays several musical instruments, sings, enjoys skiing, stand up paddle boarding, crafting and reading in her downtime. Dr. Koenigsman and her husband have two sons and two dogs. She also spends her vacation time going on humanitarian cataract missions. She has been to Haiti and Togo, Africa.
