Christine Petersen, MD

CATARACT AND GLAUCOMA SPECIALIST

Dr. Petersen is a board-certified ophthalmologist and has completed fellowship training in glaucoma. She provides cataract surgery and comprehensive ophthalmology care in addition to medical, laser, and surgical management of glaucoma.

Dr. Petersen was born and raised in southern Idaho. She received a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Oregon University and attended medical school at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. She then completed an ophthalmology residency at the University of Washington and a fellowship in glaucoma at the University of California Los Angeles Stein Eye Institute. She then returned to the University of Washington and served as an Assistant Professor. While there, she maintained a busy clinical and surgical practice while also performing research and teaching medical students and residents.

Dr. Petersen is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Glaucoma Society. Outside of medicine, she enjoys traveling, exploring the outdoors, baking, and reading.
